Candybar Cheesecake Cookies
Adapted from Caffeiiina

Ingredients:
1 cup + 1 tbsp flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
7 tbsp butter, softened
5 oz cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
About 2 cups chopped candybar pieces (I used 4 Kit Kits)

*I found that Kit Kat pieces will soften up in the cookie with time.  If not serving right away, you might want to use a different candy variety (Snickers, M&Ms, PayDay, Heath, etc).

Directions:
1.  Preheat the oven to 350°.  Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

2.  In a small bowl, stir together the flour and baking powder.  Set aside.

3.  Place the butter in the bowl of a stand mixer.  Beat until smooth.

4.  Beat in the cream cheese until smooth, stopping to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl part-way through mixing.

5.  Add the sugar and salt to the bowl.  Beat until smooth and fluffy.

6.  Add the egg and vanilla.  Beat until smooth, stopping to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl part-way through mixing.

7.  Add the flour mixture to the bowl.  Mix on low until the dry ingredients are just incorporated.

8.  Gently stir in the candy pieces.

9.  Scoop 2 tbsp portions of dough onto the baking sheets, leaving about 2" of space between each.

10.  Bake for about 10 minutes or until the very bottom edge is just beginning to brown.  The tops will look underdone, but not shiny.  Take care not to overcook.

11.  Cool on racks.  Serve!
