Hot Fudge Sauce

I love hot fudge sauce.  I could eat it right out of the jar (and have - it's even better cold, I think).  Not only are those jars expensive, though, but who knows what chemicals they might contain?  And what if you have a serious craving?  You don't want to go to the store.  Not when you could have thick, creamy, delectable hot fudge sauce made from real ingredients right out of your own kitchen!  And think of your family and friends!  Don't leave them out in the cold with that supermarket slurry - give them the true hot fudge experience!  You owe it to them.  You owe it to yourself!
Here it is, my recipe.  Get your chocolate on!

Hot Fudge Sauce
Katie Christy

Ingredients:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup cream
2 tbsp corn syrup
3 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped or chips
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
1.  Whisk the brown sugar, cream, corn syrup, chocolate, and butter together in a medium saucepan.  Set the pan over medium-high heat.  Bring the mixture to a boil, whisking constantly.  Reduce the heat to medium.

2.  Cook the mixture, continuing to whisk constantly, for two minutes.  Remove the pan from the heat.

3.  Whisk the vanilla into the chocolate mixture.  Pour the sauce into a bowl.  Allow to cool.  Once cool, stir the mixture.

4.  Serve as-is or heat to desired temperature.  To store: cover and chill.
